Gynecologist in Melbourne
Dr. Michal Amir is a specialist obstetrician and gynecologist with a subspecialty and significant expertise in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, treatment of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
After working overseas for many years as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist, she completed a two-year fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery in Monash Medical Centre, VIC. She has gained vast surgical experience in Australia and overseas and leads the laparoscopic surgery services and centre for endometriosis at Hillel Yaffe Medical Centre, Israel.
Dr Amir is one of the few female Gynaecologists in Melbourne able to perform advanced laparoscopic surgery with high complexity.

Michal holds consultant positions at two of Melbourne’s hospitals: Royal Women’s Hospital and Sandringham Hospital. She works within these institutions in advanced laparoscopic surgery, general gynaecology and obstetrics. She is also actively involved in research, medical teaching and training.
Michal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and a member of the Australasian Society for Endoscopic Surgery (AGES).
Michal has worked overseas and is multilingual. In addition to English, she is fluent in Hebrew and is proficient in Arabic.
